About the gameLords of Waterdeep is a board game about economics and political intrigue in the Forgotten Realms of the Dungeons & Dragons universe. By constructing new buildings, players will gain new opportunities in the game. Lords can both help and harm other Lords.
GameplayThe game lasts 8 rounds. During each round, players take turns distributing their agents around the city. The player with the most victory points at the end of the eighth round is declared the winner. Influence points are earned mainly by completing quests. At the beginning of each round, three victory points are distributed, one for each open building. Then three victory points are distributed as needed.Then the player is given many options - building buildings, choosing a new quest, recruiting agents, playing the intrigue card. The choice of intrigues is extremely large and very exciting. Playing them gives you the opportunity to gain an advantage over other Lords and get the resources you need - to hire warriors, thieves, clerics and mages in the tavern, and to get the resources you need.then send them off on an adventure! However, there is a type of intrigue that also has a positive effect on the other chosen player. Intrigue is a very important component of the game that has a great impact on gameplay.
